Bahay-Pari Credit Cooperative was established in 1992 by a group of priests from the Archdiocese of Manila. The initiative was born out of a desire to provide financial support and services to the clergy.
Bahay-Pari Credit Cooperative was officially registered with the Cooperative Development Authority (CDA) on October 30, 1997.
In 2016, Bahay-Pari Credit Cooperative underwent a major transformation under the guidance of the Cooperative Development Authority (CDA), including a rebranding initiative. As part of this transition, the cooperative was renamed to “Solidaritas Credit Cooperative” to better reflect its mission of solidarity, mutual support, and community empowerment while expanding beyond its traditional membership base.
SCC was established to support the financial needs of its members, primarily within the clergy and church community. As membership and services continued to grow, SCC reached a major milestone in October 2019 by relocating from the Bahay Pari Building to its own facility within the San Carlos Seminary Complex in Guadalupe, Makati City, reflecting the cooperative’s growth and commitment to serving its members more effectively.
